Possible Future Projects (ideas)

• Use large "reverse proxy" caches as public-facing free software mirrors. This is similar to squid's httpd accelerator configuration.
• IPv6 web site proxying for selected IPv4-only web sites (only when requested by website admin)
• Use anycast service distribution and other techniques to calculate "closest netop.org server", with "closest" being defined more in terms of network geography than physical geography. The goal is to minimize transit bandwidth used.
• Develop a trusted BitTorrent server network, that facilitates the easy distribution of free software while preventing unauthorized use of the torrent network (for piracy etc.).
• Other fun and imaginative Internet services as resources and time make them feasible.
